主讲人简介

Youguang Guo was awarded the Bachelor of Engineering degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in 1985, the Masters of Engineering degree from Zhejiang University in 1988, and the PhD degree from University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in 2004, all in electrical engineering. From 1988 to 1998, he was an associate lecturer/lecturer in the Department of Electric Power Engineering, HUST. From 1998 to 2000 he was a visiting research fellow in the Faculty of Engineering, UTS. From 2004 to 2007 he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Centre for Electrical Machines and Power Electronics, UTS. Since 2008 he has been an academic (lecturer / senior lecturer / associate professor) with the School of Electrical, Mechanical and Mechatronic Systems, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, UTS. He has been an IEEE senior member since 2006; PhD supervisor since 2009. His research interests include measurement and modelling of soft magnetic materials, design and optimization of novel electrical machines, analysis of electromagnetic field in electromagnetic devices, motor drives and control, etc. In these areas, he has published 2 books, 5 book chapters, 197 journal articles and 174 conference papers. 138 of the journal articles are SCI-indexed, and his H-index is 23 according to the Elsevier Scopus.

讲座简介

Accurate calculation of core loss is crucial for design and optimization of high performance electrical machines. This talk aims to present the importance of the so-called rotational core loss, which is caused by the rotational magnetization. It is found that the magnetic field in rotary machines is basically rotational with arbitrary locus, and the core loss caused by this rotational magnetic field behaves very differently from that caused by its alternating counterpart. This talk particularly presents the investigation on the core loss of electrical machines with soft magnetic composite cores.

Other important factors for core losses are also summarized briefly.

郭有光毕业于华中科技大学 (1985),浙江大学 (1988) 和悉尼科技大学 (2004),分别获电气工程学士,硕士和博士学位。19881998年在华中科技大学电力工程系任助教与讲师,19982000年在悉尼科技大学工程学院做访问学者,20042007年在悉尼科技大学电机与电力电子中心做博士后研究。自2008年在悉尼科技大学工程与信息技术学院电气与机械系工作,任讲师,高级讲师,副教授等职。自2006年为IEEE高级会员。自2009年为博士生指导教师。主要研究方向为软磁材料特性的测量与建模,新型电机设计与优化,电磁装置电磁场分析,电机驱动与控制等。已发表专著2本,合作著作5章节,杂志期刊论文208篇,会议论文178篇。149篇杂志期刊论文被SCI收录。Scopus统计的H因子为26.
